About Me
Yahya Ghufran Khidhir Abboosh is a lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Control Engineering at the Northern Technical University in Iraq. He holds both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechatronics Engineering from Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, where he graduated with first-class honors and ranked highest among all engineering departments. With a strong foundation in control systems, robotics, and embedded programming, he has contributed extensively to both academia and industry. His previous roles included designing and implementing RTU, PLC, and SCADA systems using Siemens technologies, and developing smart systems and robotics such as the R-Hex robot and demo smart-home applications.
Yahya has published research in the fields of autonomous navigation and machine learning, focusing on real-time, end-to-end self-driving systems and comparative transfer learning models. His academic service includes contributions to curriculum development, lab instruction, and committee memberships related to student affairs and auditing. As a certified SITRAIN trainer and reviewer for leading engineering journals, he remains actively involved in professional development and research activities. Yahya is committed to bridging advanced technologies with practical education to equip students for the evolving demands of the engineering sector in Iraq and beyond.
