About me

Maher Talal Mohammed Al-Asaady received his Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from the University of Mosul in 2007 and subsequently earned a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the same institution in 2012. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Artificial Intelligence at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

Since 2005, he has served as a lecturer at the Polytechnic College - Mosul, which is part of the Northern Technical University (NTU), Iraq. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he has held several key administrative positions at NTU, including Media Department Manager and Head of the Computer Systems Department.

His primary research interests lie in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Evolutionary Computing, and Meta-heuristic Optimization Techniques.

Machine Learning & Deep Learning: Proficient in supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, neural networks (MLP, CNN, RNN), ensemble models, and model evaluation techniques. (90%)
Metaheuristic Optimization: Skilled in developing and applying algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). (90%)
Programming & Tools: Extensive experience with Python, MATLAB, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn for implementing AI models and conducting experiments. (80%)
Data Processing & Analysis: Proficient in handling structured datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature selection, and statistical analysis using Pandas, NumPy, and MATLAB toolboxes. (80%)
Software Engineering: Proficient in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. Skilled in writing clean, modular code and practices across the software development life cycle for research and production-level applications. (80%)
