The study aims to identify the concept of "cloud computing", its types, characteristics, advantages, and the challenges faced by staff members in the University of Mosul libraries when using it. The questionnaire is adopted as the main tool for data collection regarding the variable of "cloud computing". It includes three dimensions: the use of "cloud computing" technology, the importance and benefits of "cloud computing", and the challenges of its implementation. The descriptive analytical method is used to analyse the collected data from the research field, utilizing the statistical software (SPSS V.25) by employing frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations for the indicators of each dimension in the study. The study concludes the following: (1) The implementation of "cloud computing" technology leads to the development of the library by improving the quality of services provided. (2) There are various challenges facing the implementation of "cloud computing" technology in libraries, including the lack of guarantees for protecting intellectual property rights of "cloud computing" users, centralization in decisionmaking, and the issues of slow or interrupted internet connectivity. The study recommends the necessity of harnessing the vast capabilities and potentials offered by "cloud computing" to support the library profession and reap the benefits derived from relying on it. It also emphasizes the importance of training librarians on modern technologies and enhancing their technical skills through workshops and educational seminars in this field.

Both of the prevalence and development of electronic learning lead to thenecessity of the availability of the related skills to this type of learning which inturn enables the teaching staff member to be operative and to make full use ofthe system. Based on that, the study aims at acquiring the availability or not ofthese adequacies or sufficiency in electronic learning that should be seized bythe staff members of the technical institute/ Nineveh “based on their ownperspective”. This sufficiency is metered through the following adequacies:Having the computer using adequacy, networks using adequacy, designing andmanaging e-learning adequacy, electronic knowledge adequacy. The study usedthe descriptive analytic approach in processing the collected data which is asample of “37” members of the teaching staff of the institute. The procedurewas to fill a questionnaire disseminated to them through a link over google drivewhich is “https://forms.gle/D7GiLasZTs2paEV68”. In addition, theprogramming statistic aid “SPSS V.25” has been used in analysing data. Thestudy came up with some conclusions, most importantly was the provenavailability of the learning adequacies needed for the teaching staff and thevarying percentage over the availability of these four adequacies within theteaching staff. The study proposed that it is a must to overcome the limitationsover using up to date technologies by the teaching staff alongside withenhancing financial and human resources for better enactment of electroniclearning at the institute. The study aims to identify the application of the rules of the RDA to the books of the Central Library of the Northern Technical University using the KOHA system according to the MARC21 records. The case study approach was used as it was applied to the library, and the exploratory approach was used by looking at some previous studies in the same subject area. The study came out with some results, including the appearance of a new cataloging standard that is compatible with the rapid electronic development, which is the RDA standard. The study recommended the necessity of training and qualifying staff to apply these rules, and the necessity of applying the rules of RDA to all libraries of the Northern Technical University formations in order to ensure the unification of bibliographic records.

Abstract The study aims at identifying the concept of open access to information and the scope of awareness of the faculty members in the Northern Technical University for this concept as well as identifying how to reach resources of open access to information. In addition, the study reveals the scope of faculty members’ desire to write and publish their researches in periodicals that have sites for open access to information. The results show that the faculty members have great realization for the resources of open access to information. تهدف الدارسة الى استكشاف واقع الوعي المعلوماتي لدى الباحثين من طلبة الدارسات العليا في جامعة ازخو، وتقديم رؤية واضحة لطبيعته وتحديد هويته ودارسة مستوا في المجتمع الاكاديمي بتحديد مظاهر ومهاارته لدى الطلبة، وقد استخدم المنهج المسحي للحصول على البيانات والمعلومات التي تحدد مهاارت ومظاهر الوعي المعلوماتي لدى طلبة الدارسات العليا من خلال استبانة وزعت على كافة طلبة مرحلة الماجستير وذلك لعدم وجود دارسة ل لدكتورا على مستوى %) من الاستماار ت 85 الجامعة، وقد شملت العينة كافة كليات الجامعة، وتم تحليل ما يقارب ( ) منها، تم تحليل 60 ( ) استمارة استرجع ت 70 إذ تم توزيع ( ، و أهمل ت البقية لعدم اكتمال بياناتها وخرجت الدارسة بعدد من النتاىج والتوصيات التي ،)SPSS) بياناتها بواسطة البرنامج الاحصائي قد تسهم في تنمية الوعي المعلوماتي في المجتمع الاكاديمي بتفعيل عناصر من خلال تحقيق دور الهيئة الاكاديمية والطلبة والمكتبة الاكاديمية .
