Academic and Administrative Biography

I am Dr. Afaf Nasser Yousif, a lecturer at the Northern Technical University / Technical Engineering College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence / Department of Cyber Security. I hold a Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from the University of Mosul (2024). I teach courses in Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Statistics, and Probability Theory.

I currently serve as the Head of the Data and Information Unit at the college, where I am responsible for managing academic data, analyzing institutional performance, and supporting decision-making through accurate reporting and the development of information systems.

My research interests focus on Applied Mathematics, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, and Optimization Methods. I have published several research papers and participated in academic conferences. I also maintain active professional profiles on academic platforms such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, ORCID, and Scopus.

A Novel Integral Transform for Solving Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations
Jan 4, 2023

Journal International Conference on Mathematical and Statistical Physics, Computational Science, Education, and Communication (ICMSCE 2022)

publisher SPIE – The International Society for Optics and Photonics

DOI 10.1117/12.2675740

Volume 12616

In this paper, a novel integral transform is proposed for solving various types of differential equations. It is based on a combination of the modified Laplace transform and the generalization of Laplace-derived transformations. The characteristics of this transform are studied and applied to special functions and linear differential equations with constant coefficients.

Exact Solutions to a Mathematical Model Representing Avascular Tumor Growth via Exponential Function Method
Jan 1, 2023

Journal Utilitas Mathematica

publisher Utilitas Mathematica Publishing Inc.

Issue N/A

Volume 120

This paper presents exact analytical solutions to a mathematical model describing avascular tumor growth. The exponential function method is used to obtain explicit expressions for tumor growth dynamics, providing insights into the behavior of tumor cells under avascular conditions.
