A Brief biography of Assist Lecturer Abrar Khaled Al-Sharif

Assist Lecturer Abrar Khalid Shukry, born in Kirkuk, Iraq , is an Iraqi engineer and lecturer with diverse expertise in engineering and information technology. She currently serves as a lecturer in the Computer Technology Department at the College of Engineering Technology since 2019, following her role as a lecturer at the College of Computer Science and IT, University of Kirkuk, in 2018.

Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Communications) from Mosul University (2003–2007). She later earned a Master of Science in Engineering (Computer Science) from Erciyes University in Turkey (2016–2018). During her studies, she honed her skills in programming languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic, and Assembly Language (8085, 8086, 80386), as well as analysis tools like MATLAB and Multisim.

Professionally, Abrar started her career in 2006 as an Electrical Engineer and Supervisor for the Panje Ali Project, overseeing the distribution of electric and telephone lines for two years. She then transitioned to a Data Entry Specialist role within the same project for one year (2008–2009). Subsequently, she worked as a Technical Associate at Smart Card Company for three years (2009–2012), gaining hands-on experience with modern technologies. She further contributed to local capacity building by serving as a Vocational Trainer at the Vocational Training Center in Kirkuk for three years (2012–2015).

In research, Abrar co-authored a conference paper titled "Congestion Control Protocol Performance Evaluation" with researcher Serkan Öztürk, presented at Erciyes University, Kayseri, Türkiye, in 2018.

Abrar is proficient in multiple languages: English (fluent in reading, writing, and speaking), Turkmen (Turkish) (professional speaking proficiency), Arabic (native proficiency), and Kurdish (intermediate proficiency). She is also skilled in using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) efficiently.
