To achieve the water request of a rural inhabitants, it is fundamental to make available the adequate water amount thru the design of a network of pipelines through knowing the generic characteristics of the study area such as information related the available water sources, demand of water, the inhabitant of the region, requirement of storage tanks, the nature of the area and land profile. This study highlights the procedure achieved to design a potable water distribution system for a village in Shaqlawa, Erbil - Iraq with the assistance of these info and data the water distribution pipelines’ design for the study region with the assist of software “EPANET”. The source which has been chosen to provide the system with water is a natural spring named Kani Hangeer. The water supply system’s designing for appropriate supply of water is functional and effective to get every day water requirement in the village.
