Biography

I am Ahmed Abdul Nasser Ahmed, holding a Master’s degree and currently am the Head of the Media and Government Communication Division at the Northern Technical University – Technical College of management .
My main research interests focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) and renewable energy, aiming to contribute to sustainable development. As an early-career researcher, I have published two studies so far and strive to advance my academic journey by enhancing scientific research and improving the academic environment.

o reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the conventional power plant, the role of renewable energy-based hybrid systems is essential. These hybrid systems require a proficient energy management system for efficiently managing the energy from different energy sources to maintain the load-supply power balance. This is vital to save energy, diminish energy costs and attain global emission targets. the energy management strategy between the renewable energy sources and the energy storages under different operating modes is a challenging task along with load management. This work presents a new method for energy management. The method is based on meta-heuristic principles Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) Bacteria Foraging Algorithm (BFA) that considers main purpose is energy consumption and load management. System is based on hybrid energy sources include wind and solar energy along with battery storage. The system is designed to schedule the appliances, Improved cost and Solving load balancing problem, provide power to selected loads for long time possible when utilizing battery storage as main source by switching off other loads And select suitable power source according to availability. Different scenario and weather condition has been tested. The results of the system are show the proposed method’s effectiveness. Simulation results obtained from MATLAB/Simulink environment to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed system.

The smart grid allows consumers and utility grids to communicate, allowing for the most efficient use of generated energy based on environmental, price, and system technical factors. One of the primary advantages of this system is energy management, which is carried out in conjunction with the internet of things (IoT), with real-time monitoring of devices and control data processing. The purpose of the Internet of Things in this project is to build a smart control system to manage generated electricity among several Nano grids by remotely monitoring generated and used power. A set of multi-function sensors is used to wirelessly sense real-time data and convert it into the necessary format, as well as to help move the sensed data over the network cloud via the 'Internet Connection'. Several slave nodes are present in a microgrid (SN). Every SN serves as its own grid (Nano grid), with two or three independent renewable energy sources connected to the master node of the central control unit (MN). To assure a satisfactory outcome, a prototype was built using solar cells and wind turbines as power sources, with an ARDUINO microcontroller managing and controlling power transfer between slave nodes. The practical results showed a good match between the simulated and practical results.
