My Experience Teaching English Using Active Learning Techniques
Through my experience teaching English to first-year students, I have found that active learning techniques are among the most effective methods to engage students and enhance their participation in class.
Instead of relying solely on traditional lectures, I now incorporate interactive activities such as group work, role-playing, and educational games that encourage students to use the language in realistic and enjoyable ways.
For example, when introducing new vocabulary, I ask students to create sentences using the words in short dialogues, or we play the game “Who Am I?” to guess the word through description. These methods keep students motivated and eliminate boredom.
I believe that a successful teacher is one who lights a spark of passion in the student and makes them look forward to the next class.
I always aim to improve my skills and teaching methods to meet students’ needs and adapt to the modern academic environment
