Siddiq received his B.Sc. degree in 1997 from the Electronic and Communications Engineering Department at Al-Nahrain University, Baghdad, Iraq. Then, he received his M.Sc. degree in 2000 and the Ph.D. degree in modern communication systems in 2006, from the same university. Since 2001 he joined the Electronic and Control Engineering Department at the Technical College - Kirkuk at the Northern Technical University in Iraq. He has held a variety of academic positions in this college, including the head of the Software Engineering Dept. (2009-2013), the head of Electronic and Control Engineering Dept. (2018-2020), the head of Central Scientific Promotions since 2020.
