Discover human poses similarity and action recognition based on machine learning
Jun 1, 2023

Journal Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics

In the computer vision field, human action recognition depending on pose estimation recently made considerable progress, especially by using deep learning, which improves recognition performance. Therefore, it has been employed in various applications, including sports and physical activity follow-up. This paper presents a technique for recognizing the human posture in different images and matching their pose similarity. This aims to evaluate the viability of employing computer vision techniques to verify a person's body pose during exercise and determine whether the pose is executed properly. Exercise is one strategy we use to maintain our health throughout life. Gymnastics and yoga are two examples of this type of exercise. The proposed algorithm identifies human action by recognizing the body's key points. The OpenPose library has been used to detect 18 key points of the human body. The action classification task is performed using the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm. Then, the algorithm computes the similarity of the human pose by comparing a model image to a test image to determine the matching score. Evaluations show that our method can perform at a competitive or state-of-the-art performance on a number of body pose datasets.

A Comparison of Grid and Cloud Computing Technology
Jul 1, 2012

Journal International Journal of Engineering Research and Development

Cloud computing has evolved in this decade and become an intriguing field of study for researchers. Platforms and architectures are continuing to be developed, and every couple of years, new cloud computing techniques are discovered, with some of them deemed as revolutionary breakthroughs. One of the most amazing aspects of cloud computing is that researchers can develop a service and deliver it to users most likely through the Internet, without the need for an upgrade to the user side hardware. Cloud computing is the most famous but not the only paradigm to offer tremendous compute capability. Another form of comparable computing is grid computing which also offers the capability to process data in less time. This survey reviews both grid and cloud computing in order to clarify the understanding of applications, architecture, and topologies. We analyse three basic delivery models for cloud computing. Finally, we explore about link multiple clouds network, also known as inter-cloud or cloud of clouds.

An Integration of Elephant Herding Optimization and Fruit Fly Optimized Algorithm for Energy Conserving in MANET
Sep 6, 2023

Journal 2023 International Conference in Advances in Power, Signal, and Information Technology (APSIT)

Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) dynamically moving wireless networks which consists of huge number of mobile devices in infrastructure less environment. The mobile nodes in the MANETs can shows as a sender and the receiver which communicate with each other in its coverage area. To solve these flaws in MANETs in this paper a Hybrid Optimization Using Elephant Herding Optimization and Fruit fly Optimized Algorithm for Energy Conserving (HOEFEC) approach is proposed in MANETs. In the routing process, the Adhoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) routing protocol is used to facilitate communication between each of the source and destination. Through this protocol multipath communication is performed in an effective manner with balanced load. The optimization of the proposed approach is performed in two segments. They are initial shortest path finding through elephant herding optimization algorithm using fitness calculation. Secondly optimal path selection through fruit fly optimized algorithm using distance calculation. The proposed HOEFEC approach leads a way to the effective communication in VANETs. The NS2 with SUMO is performed with three parameter which are packet delivery ratio, end to end delay, routing overhead and throughput to perform the comparative analysis. The results of the proposed HOEFEC approach are compared with the HDGCO and MBOCH.

Traffic Surveillance: Vehicle Detection and Pose Estimation Based on Deep Learning.
Feb 1, 2023

Journal Przeglad Elektrotechniczny

Video-based traffic surveillance analysis is an important area of research with numerous applications in intelligent transportation systems. Due to camera positioning, background crowd, and vehicle orientation fluctuations, urban situations are more complex than highways. This paper provides a state-of-the-art technique for vehicle detection and orientation estimation based on the convolutional neural network CNN for detecting and determining the orientation of a vehicle from a given image to reduce traffic accidents. Different CNN model architectures have been examined to reach this approach's goal, which results in a small and fast model that is compatible with limited-resources hardware. A large-scale dataset of vehicles has been used to train the model. The dataset includes different types and views of cars; the taken images are high quality with diverse backgrounds and light conditions. To train the model, the dataset has been divided into five classes according to view: Front, Rear, Side, Front-side, and Rear-side, to fit the requirement of this work. The system achieves a high accuracy result.
