This article examines the use of nanostructured materials in sustainable construction to enhance the lifespan and minimize ecological impact. The study investigates significant nanocomposites, nano-silica, nano clay, and carbon nanotubes in structural frameworks using advanced materials analysis methods, including mechanical stress testing and electron microscopy. The findings indicate that, relative to traditional construction materials, these nanostructures enhance structural integrity by about 40%, extend service life by around 35%, and reduce energy consumption in material production by about 20%. Materials exhibit resilience by decreasing degradation under high-stress conditions by 30% and enhancing corrosion resistance by 25%. By reducing resource consumption and enhancing infrastructure resilience, these developments signify significant progress towards sustainable construction. This article advances broader sustainability objectives by advocating for the use of nanotechnology in construction materials, underscoring the significance of nanostructured materials in the future of architecture. The study findings provide optimism for the extensive use of nanotechnology in industry, perhaps facilitating an improved equilibrium between ecological conservation and structural integrity in modern construction methods.

This paper presents a study on the performance and environmental impacts of aggressive heavy goods vehicle (HGV) platoons in comparison to human-driven HGVs at a random signalized intersection under varying traffic volumes between 500 and 1500 HGVs. A total of 12 scenarios have been developed, 6 for each of the vehicular behaviors, to quantify the emissions (CO, NOX, VOC) and fuel consumption, travel time, and delays. The analysis is implemented using the PTV VISSIM microscopic traffic flow model. Realization that the majority of the differences in the performance of the two vehicular controls seems to be different as the traffic volume increases was the realization. In most cases, aggressive HGV platoons were found to have lower emissions, in comparison to fuel consumption, while the flow and delay of aggressive HGV platoons were comparatively better against the case with human-driven HGVs. The results have thus provided new avenues for the incorporation of aggressive HGV platoons into urban traffic systems, more so in scenarios that involve a high level of traffic at intersections, as a potentially effective tool for augmenting the efficiency of an intersection and cutting down its environmental impacts. The present study strongly recommends the advancement of traffic management strategies that can capture the dynamics between the two heterogenous traffic flows induced by autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle technologies.

The increasing environmental impact of plastic pollution has prompted significant research into biodegradable polymers as sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics. This study aims to review recent advancements in biodegradable polymers, focusing on their environmental implications and exploring material science innovations to enhance their performance. A thorough assessment of the latest research, patents, and commercial developments was conducted, evaluating polymer life cycles, degradation rates in various environmental conditions, and the ecological effects of byproducts. The findings suggest that biodegradable polymers can be significantly improved through advancements in synthesis and functionalization, with several new formulations demonstrating faster degradation and lower environmental harm. However, challenges remain regarding cost-effectiveness, performance across diverse environments, and recycling potential. In conclusion, while biodegradable polymers offer a promising solution to plastic pollution, further development and innovation are necessary to address current limitations. Continued research, supported by robust legislative measures, is crucial for unlocking the full environmental and economic potential of these materials in the near future.

Nowadays, when talking about cybersecurity, the talk is associated with the most important event in the world during the year 2020, which is COVID-19. Although the digital world exists parallel to the real world, humanity did not have to rely on the Internet to accomplish its tasks. However, the situation changed after the Corona pandemic, as the world found itself in front of one option, which is to work remotely to overcome the impact of the pandemic. Therefore, with this massive and sudden digital transformation on the global level, cyber criminals have many opportunities through cyber vulnerabilities that appear due to the rapid shift to remote work. In this study, we presented an accurate review of the effects that accompanied the occurrence of the Coronavirus pandemic on cybersecurity. Moreover, the world has seen a growing number of cyber-attacks due to these effects, which led to attract the attention to the …
